The European Award for Citizenship, Security and Defence 2016

In 2016 again, the International Society for Military Ethics in Europe (Euro-ISME) is the princial partner of the association “Civisme Défense Armées Nation” (CiDAN) for organising the European Award for Citizenship, Security and Defence.

The Prize is intended to reward outstanding efforts towards promoting European citizenship, military ethics and European security and defence awareness. It was first awarded in 2011, under the High Patronage of the President of the European Council.

The prize is organised annually by CiDAN, together with the European Interparliamentary Security and Defence Association, and with the support of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The French Embassy in Berlin kindly hosts the Award Ceremony, in the framework of the Berlin Security Conference, organised by the leading German publisher ProPress.

The competition campaign 2016 is now open to all European citizens and legal entities (organisations, groups, associations, foundations, companies, military units and staffs, public and private educational establishments, including primary and secondary schools and universities) in all countries which are Members of the Council of Europe.

The deadline for applications is midnight (French time) on Friday 30 September 2016.
