Our Institutional Member "Zebis" has recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary ! EuroISME congratulates and thanks all zebis-colleagues for steady support and fruitful cooperation in many projects. The zebis has affiliated to EuroISME as one of our very first "Institutional Members" and has since backed important initiatives, like the Common Code of Conduct for European Peacekeeping Forces or the Common European Leadership Culture. Zebis has co-organised a number of EuroISME seminars, together with the Zentrum Innere Führung of the Federal Armed Forces.
Several times a year, EuroISME members and internationally renowned experts participate in zebis-hosted workshops, conferences and panel discussions to create and nurture debates about topical subjects in the field of military ethics and security policy.
The zebis e-journal “Ethics and Armed Forces” provides a platform for this debate and is issued in English and German. It is regularly reviewed on EuroISME's website and all issues are openly accessible in English and in German language.
Upon the recommendation of EuroISME, during the 13th Berlin Security Conference (BSC) 2014 and in the presence of EuroISME Vice President Prof. Thomas R. Elßner, the zebis has been awarded the "Special Prize for Military Ethics" of the “European Award for Citizenship, Security and Defence”. The award was presented by Robert Walter, Member of the British Parliament and President of the “European Security and Defense Association”.
If you wish to train your German language skills, you should read the congratulatory message of General (retd.) Wolfgang Schneiderhan, former CHOD Federal Armed Forces and member of the advisory council for ethical education and leadership training.
