For its semi-annual meeting, EuroISME’s Board of Directors has met on 28 and 29 September 2023 in the Serbian town of Sremski Karlovci.
The Board of Directors was honoured by a visit by the Dean of the Serbian Military Academy, Col. Dragan Trifković, who was interested in discussing the potential of future cooperation with us. Col. Trifković emphasised the importance of the connection of leadership skills and ethics in the face of the challenges posed by the rapid development of modern technologies.
In his response, EuroISME’s president, Air Commodore (ret) John Thomas noted that many members of EuroISME focus exactly on the relationship of leadership, ethics and technology. He added that EuroISME is a non-political organisation, which has members – and indeed Board members – from both the East and the West, and therefore offers a culturally diverse platform for discussion.
As a token of EuroISME’s appreciation for the presence of Col. Trifković, John Thomas offered him copies of EuroISME's publications which are intended for the library of the Serbian Military Academy. John Thomas offered also a big thank you to one of the Serbian members of the Board of Directors, Dragan Stanar, for organising this gathering.
