In Brussels, Executive Director Ted van Baarda attended a workshop organised by EUROMIL. This is the European Organisation of Military Associations and Trade Unions; it is also one of EuroISME’s institutional members.

EuroISME has received cover design of its next publication. It concerns the winning thesis of Julia Böcker from Hamburg, Germany, who won the prize for the best student thesis written in the field of the ethics of war and peace. The winning thesis should become available in a matter of weeks.

The new e-journal arrives just in time for the christmas gift table and heralds the preparations for the 2024 annual meeting in Tallinn (Estonia).

Edited by Jean-François Caron and Marina Mirón, the book “Military ethics and the changing nature of warfare”, is volume 11 in EuroISME’s book series. It contains chapters from Jovan Babić, Gérard de Boisboissel, David Mac Gillavry, Zdenĕk Mikulka, Andrea Ellner and Loránd Ujházi. EuroISME’s annual conference in Budapest served as the basis for this volume. Many thanks to Jean-François and Marina for their work!
In the meantime, EuroISME’s next conference will take place in May, in Tallinn, Estonia. If you wish to present a paper there, please make sure to submit it no later than February 1st 2024.
